A room with a river view
The heated marble floors in the bathroom were bliss on cold mornings. Waking up to the tranquil river view was refreshing, bringing serenity to every moment.
Unfortunately, the wifi connection was sluggish . It felt a bit outdated for such a luxurious hotel.

The hotel is REMARKABLE, has particularly good views and unique location close enough to the Amstel River and canals, Amsterdam, or Europe for that matter and a marvelous view of the Amstel River. A nice touch is also the savoury beverages...

All my thoughts, no sugarcoating
This hotel is a blend of charm and functionality. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The breakfast is good, especially with views of the Amstel River. While the dining options can be pricey, service stands out. Just be mindful of potential parking hassles and the need to reserve popular restaurant spots ahead of time.

Its location is unbeatable & exceptional, near the center of town overlooking the Amstel river, the absolute centre of Amsterdam, and the canal. There is Silverscreen nearby for a cup of coffee.

Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent service, good food - the main building was under renovation but the new Dutch Master's wing is splendid.

Location
The breakfast that is supposed to be included is just teas and coffees. You have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast even if your room rate says breakfast is included. The radio in the room started playing on its own early in the morning for no reason, extremely loudly. When we called down for a porter to switch it off, it took him 10-minutes to stop it playing. This woke us up and we couldn't get back to sleep. The staff didn't seem to care about such a major inconvenience.

Friendly staff. Good location. Not far from the station and shops. Well appointed rooms (even had an ipad). Comfortable bed. bathroom had lots of towels and toiletries.
Bar was quite small - adjacent internal smoking area bigger than the bar itself. Restaurant quite antiseptic and expensive wines. Larger area by reception not very cosy either.

Beautiful interior design. High quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable and welcoming.
Being told that we had complimentary breakfast when we arrived and then being asked to pay when we were given the bill.......obviously staff need more training on reception.....
